In the Bible, the Christian doctrine that Jesus is the only way to God is made abundantly clear. Jesus Himself confirms this numerous times, stating in His Word that "He is the way, that no one comes to the father except through Him, and that unless you believe in Him you will indeed die of your sins"[1](John 14:6, 8:24). While many of the world religions loosely share similar concepts and even feature some of the same people in history, "the essential concepts such as God, truth, reality, the basic problem of humanity and the solution are very different."[2] The uniqueness of Christ is, that while the gods and deities of the many world religions are malleable, distant, impersonal, selfish, and ambiguous, He is unchanging, personal, loving, forgiving, knowable, and direct to as to what the path is for achieving salvation and eternal life. "No other god or deity in any of the other world religions offers the same personal relationship" that Jesus does through His blood shed on the cross, His resurrection, and His Spirit who comes dwell in the hearts of all those who trust in Him.[3] Unique to the other world religions, the "personal relationship" and salvation available through Jesus is unparalleled in historical evidence.[4]
In a culture that has adopted a pluralistic approach to religion and truth, it is proper to that Jesus is the exclusive path to God because "He is the only living God" who has revealed Himself in history and offered Himself as a pathway to God.[5] If there is a God at all, "which means that atheism would not be an acceptable explanation for the truth," then the multitude of difference between the world religions that contradict one another cannot offer a singular nor pick and choose solution to finding truth.[6]This is why Jesus is the exclusive path to God, for "He is the only God" who has revealed Himself personally in history as a living, active, and direct source of salvation and truth.[7]Christ asserts Himself as the exclusive path to God for only He can offer the consistent explanatory power for truth and a personal relationship through salvation that grants eternal life.
